International Day to Protect Education from Attack

Obligation of States: to guarantee free, safe, equitable, inclusive and quality education, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable population.
World Agriculture Day
Agriculture sustains our tables and sustainable development. This date highlights the work of small, medium and large producers and makes visible the sector’s challenges in the face of climate change, water scarcity and new consumption patterns.
Objectives of the day: to promote innovation, training and agricultural practices that care for soil, water and biodiversity, with future generations in mind.
World Electric Vehicle Day
Created in 2020 by ABB and Green TV, it seeks to promote electric mobility as part of the decarbonisation of transport.
A little history: the first electric prototypes appeared in the 19th century; after ups and downs, the current boom comes with better batteries, range and charging networks.
Advantages: zero local emissions, less noise, lower energy costs, less maintenance and tax benefits in many places.
International Beauty Day
Promoted by the Russian section of CIDESCO, it celebrates outer and inner beauty and reflects on the social standards surrounding it.
What CIDESCO promotes: high professional standards, ongoing training and a more ethical and qualified beauty and spa sector.
Key message of the day: appreciate diversity and separate self-esteem from impossible ideals.
International Software Tester Day
Every 9 September, those who ensure that software works well and on time are recognised.
What testing is: processes and methods to detect and prevent errors during development, before launch.
Historical curiosity: in 1947, the “first real bug” was documented when a moth was found in a relay of the Mark I; since then, “removing bugs” has been part of the profession.
World Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Day (FASD)
Prenatal exposure to alcohol can cause irreversible harm to physical, cognitive and behavioural development.
Central message: there is no safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy. Prevention means avoiding its consumption from the point of planning a pregnancy.
Necessary support: early diagnosis, medical care, and educational and behavioural therapies.
International Sudoku Day (International Sudoku Day)
9/9 pays tribute to the number puzzle based on a 9×9 square divided into 3×3 sub-squares, where the numbers 1 to 9 must be placed without repetition in rows, columns or sub-squares.
Origins: drawing on Latin squares studied by Euler in the 18th century, the modern version became popular from the end of the 20th century and went around the world.
