April brings acrobatics and fantasy to Teatro Circo Price

The event will open with Pagagnini, a show that breaks down the barriers between concert and comedy. In it, four musicians fuse instrumental mastery with physical humour, creating a stage game as unpredictable as it is brilliant.

A proposal that turns classical scores into pure physical theatre, where every note becomes a laugh or an unexpected twist. But the tribute does not remain on stage. The Circalizadas programme proposes an expanded look at the circus world through different disciplines. On 20 April, a dramatised tour will guide the public through the Price’s most secret corners, telling its history through fantastic characters and anecdotes that seem drawn from a story. In addition, over several days emblematic films about the circus universe will be shown, accompanied by discussions with invited artists, directors and actors. And for lovers of letters, the Ateneo de Madrid will host a dramatised reading that explores the soul of the circus through words and memory. The closing will be no less spectacular.

The renowned Australian company CiRCA arrives in Madrid with Duck Pond, a visually striking re-reading of Swan Lake. Far from classical ballet, this version opts for acrobatics, humour and surprise, exploring themes of transformation and identity through the physical language of contemporary circus. With this cultural commitment, Teatro Circo Price demonstrates that circus is not only tradition: it is evolution, risk, beauty and play. A living art that finds its home in the heart of Madrid in April.
