Llonganissa de pagès withdrawn in Cataluña due to salmonellosis risk
A health alert affects consumers in Barcelona and other regions after several batches of llonganissa de pagès from the Boadas 1880 brand were withdrawn due to the risk of salmonellosis.
The product, marketed in 80-gram packs, has been distributed in Catalonia, Andalusia, the Valencian Community and Murcia. The authorities recommend not consuming it under any circumstances if it is found at home.
The affected batches are 329 (expiry date 30/03/2026), 330 and 331 (expiry date 31/03/2026), as well as 345, 346 and 347 (expiry date 11/04/2026). All of them have been identified as potentially contaminated and must be withdrawn immediately.
If the product has been consumed, it is recommended to watch for symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting, fever or headache and to go to a healthcare centre for assessment.
The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition stresses the importance of checking batches before consuming meat products and following official guidance to avoid risks.
