Àngel Llàcer shines again in Barcelona after conquering his greatest stage fright

Àngel Llàcer has returned to Barcelona’s stages with the musical ‘El Petit Príncep’ after overcoming a serious infection that forced him to step away from the theatre temporarily. The actor resumes the role of the aviator at Sala Paral·lel 62, where the production will run from 5 December to 1 February 2026. Expectations are very high and tickets are almost sold out.

Llàcer considers ‘El Petit Príncep’ a key work in his career and stresses that its success is based on emotion and Manu Guix’s songs, which are capable of connecting deeply with the audience. After twelve seasons and more than 385,000 spectators, the musical remains a phenomenon.

His return, however, has not been easy. During a performance of ‘La jaula de las locas’, Llàcer began to feel unwell and developed severe stage fright. After recovering physically, the fear of failing or forgetting the text persisted, but he continues, driven by his emotional commitment to the audience.

The actor explains that this experience has transformed him. He acknowledges that over the years he has learned to share more, listen and value human bonds. As an example, he recounts how he allowed the former owner of his new house in La Garrotxa to keep visiting it as though it were their own.

For Llàcer, ‘El Petit Príncep’ is an emotional refuge in an accelerated world. He believes the work offers a space where feelings are valid and necessary. His return to the stage represents a personal and artistic victory, showing that hope can be reborn even after difficult times.
