Aranjuez reopens the Museo de Falúas Reales after a large-scale restoration of six historic vessels

In Aranjuez, the six royal barges can once again be seen, restored after nine months of work funded by Patrimonio Nacional. The museum gives visitors back the atmosphere of the 17th and 18th centuries, when these vessels formed part of royal festivities and water spectacles in the gardens and canals.

The work has been carried out in accordance with international standards, preserving the original materials and using reversible restoration methods. Each vessel has recovered its splendour and is now available for study and public viewing.
