Madrid travel pass prices in 2026: discover all the new features

Madrid's public transport will maintain its extraordinary subsidies throughout 2026, according to confirmation by the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid (CRTM). From 1 January, users will continue to benefit from the same fares, discounts and free travel that have applied since July 2025.

Some six million passengers will continue to travel on Metro, urban and intercity buses and Metro Ligero without price changes. The three types of free pass are retained: the children's card for under-sevens, the one for over-65s and the new free card for children up to the age of 14, introduced last July.

The Abono Joven, aimed at people aged 15 to 25, will continue with a 50% discount, allowing travel throughout the region for only €10 a month. For users aged 26 to 64, monthly passes will retain a 40% reduction. Thus, zone A will cost 32.70 euros, B1 €38.20, B2 €43.20 and zones B3, C1 and C2 will be priced at €49.20.

The 10-journey ticket for Metro, EMT and ML1 will retain its price of 7.30 euros. All these subsidies will remain in force until 31 December 2026, guaranteeing cost stability for Madrid public-transport users.
