Summer camps in Barcelona: how to enrol your children and pay less
Barcelona is opening registration for children and young people to join its summer activities. The municipal programme offers 350,000 places in more than a thousand activities for ages 1 to 17, with options spread across the city and designed to help families balance their responsibilities during the holidays.
Registration can now be completed online, through a system that allows activities to be searched by district, type or age. From sport to technology or creative workshops, the offer is designed to suit different interests and timetables.
One key point is financial assistance. Ayuntamiento offers subsidies that may cover up to 90% of the cost, considerably reducing the price for many families. However, the aid can only be applied to one activity per child.
The registration process is flexible: payment can be made in two instalments and there is no limit on activities per child, provided places are available. When applying for assistance, a small initial payment is required to reserve the place.
The programme also guarantees inclusion, reserving places for children with disabilities and extending the age range in adapted activities. Overall, the initiative strengthens access to summer plans throughout the city, with a broad and accessible offer for different family profiles.
