Barcelona begins the week under the influence of an unstable weather band and an easterly wind, causing cloudy skies and residual rain until mid-morning. The weather forecast points to a changeable Monday with cooler-than-usual temperatures.

During the early hours, irregular showers have been recorded in different parts of the city and its metropolitan area. In areas such as the Maresme and Vallès Oriental, rainfall has been locally moderate. The atmosphere remains damp and grey in the early hours of the day, with the possibility of intermittent drizzle.

The hourly outlook for Barcelona is as follows: at 06:00, scattered rain is expected; at 09:00, the weather remains unstable and carrying an umbrella is recommended. At midday, skies will remain overcast and the atmosphere will be humid. In the afternoon, from 15:00, some clear spells will open up, although the sky will remain variable until nightfall, when the apparent temperature will feel fully wintry.

According to recent data, between 25 and 28 December, accumulated precipitation has exceeded 200 mm in areas of Montseny, the Guilleries, Collsacabra, La Garrotxa, Ripollès and the Port massif in southern Catalonia. By contrast, barely 10 mm have been recorded across broad areas of Ponent.

The feeling of cold intensifies because of the combination of cloud cover and high humidity. The rest of the day is expected to be variable, with a tendency for clearer spells in the afternoon.

Looking ahead to the week, an unstable atmosphere is expected. Tuesday will be sunnier and milder, but clouds and a wintry feel will return on Wednesday. Temperatures will remain low, reinforcing the feeling of winter in the city.
