Barcelona celebrates the Metro Centenary with a unique immersive exhibition

Barcelona puts the finishing touch to the Metro Centenary with an immersive experience that promises to surprise all visitors. The deputy mayor and president of TMB, Laia Bonet, will present the review of this very special year and unveil the new virtual-reality exhibition at Espai Mercè Sala.

The event will take place on Monday 29 December at 16:00, in the concourse of the Diagonal station on the L5, directly opposite Espai Mercè Sala. Attending media will be able to try the virtual experience first-hand.

Under the title ‘One Hundred Years of Metro. An Immersive Journey’, the exhibition invites visitors to trace the evolution of Barcelona's metro, from the first stations of the 1920s to catching a glimpse of what the metro of the future will be like. This proposal will be available to the public, by prior booking, from 30 December to 31 March.
