Barcelona will keep the heat until Friday, with more clouds and some possible rain

Thursday will begin with quite a lot of cloud, especially during the early hours. Meteocat forecasts around 25-26 degrees at dawn, with a rapid rise as the morning progresses, reaching approximately 31 degrees in the afternoon.

The sky will tend to clear in the middle of the day, although conditions will not be completely stable. AEMET maintains the possibility of light rainfall during the second half of Thursday, while Meteocat's municipal model currently presents a dry scenario for Barcelona.

That difference means keeping the umbrella in a state of uncertainty. With the current information, a rain-soaked day is not expected, but it is advisable to follow the forecast's evolution if you have outdoor plans during the afternoon and evening.

Friday the 28th will again begin with abundant cloud cover. AEMET raises the possibility of rain during the first half of the day, while Meteocat keeps precipitation out of its hourly forecast for the capital. Afterwards, the clouds should gradually become less prominent.

The heat will continue in any case. Meteocat puts the thermometer close to 32 degrees on Friday afternoon and AEMET even considers somewhat higher values. The humidity by the sea will make it feel heavier than the temperatures alone indicate.

There will not be much relief overnight either. Minimum temperatures will remain high, especially in neighbourhoods closest to the coast and the centre, where the heat accumulated during the day takes longer to disappear after sunset.

The picture over these last two working days of the week will therefore be quite recognisable for August in Barcelona: humid, cloudy mornings, hot afternoons and some chance of a shower without a profound change in the weather yet arriving. The clearest relief could begin to be felt during the weekend, when maximum temperatures will tend to fall slightly.
