Barcelona brings together international leaders for a key institutional event
Barcelona will host a high-level institutional agenda tomorrow, attended by international leaders and representatives from major cities. Mayor Jaume Collboni will take part in several meetings that strengthen the city's global role.
The day will begin at the Palau de la Generalitat with an institutional reception alongside President Salvador Illa and MEP Iratxe García Pérez. The meeting marks the start of a series of meetings focused on European cooperation.
One of the key moments will be the summit between the president of Brasilia Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Pedro Sánchez at the Palau de Pedralbes. The meeting reinforces Barcelona’s role as a setting for dialogue between Europe and Latin America.
In parallel, the City Council will receive Buenos Aires governor Axel Kicillof and representatives of cities such as Brussels, Athens and New York, in meetings focused on urban cooperation and local management.
The day will conclude with the visit of Colombian president Gustavo Petro to the Biblioteca Gabriel García Márquez, one of the city’s most recent cultural spaces.
