More than 30 bus lines diverted because of Barça's celebration in Barcelona

Surface traffic will be virtually brought to a standstill at several points in the city as the Barça procession proceeds. The route will start at Camp Nou and cross some of Barcelona’s busiest arteries before reaching Plaça Catalunya. The return journey will take place along Passeig de Gràcia and streets such as Provença, Casanova and Londres, where there will also be temporary full closures.

The impact on public transport will be massive. More than thirty TMB bus lines will alter their routes, including key lines such as D20, H8, H10, H12, H16, V13 and X1, as well as several routes connecting the centre with different neighbourhoods. The blue and red tourist routes of Barcelona Bus Turístic will also be affected.

Although no special measure has yet been announced on the metro, stations on L3 and especially L5 are expected to operate at the limit of their capacity for much of the afternoon and evening. At previous celebrations, areas such as Diagonal, Sants Estació and Catalunya experienced periods of overcrowding and controlled access.

The City Council directly recommends avoiding private cars and prioritising travel on foot or by public transport. It also advises checking the status of buses and the metro in real time before setting off, especially for those who need to cross the centre or travel between neighbourhoods during the busiest hours.

Barça victory parades have already become one of the events that transform Barcelona most for a few hours. They do not only change mobility: they alter the pace of the city, fill streets and squares with fans and turn the centre into a huge space for collective celebration. For many residents, the afternoon will mean patience and changes of routine; for others, it will be one of those nights when football once again completely takes over Barcelona.
