Barcelona turned out for Barça: 750,000 people filled the title parade

Long before the buses set off, many streets were already packed. Entire families, groups of friends, surprised tourists and supporters arriving from other parts of Catalonia filled pavements, balconies and terraces along the whole route. In some stretches, there was scarcely room to move.

The caravan set off beside Spotify Camp Nou and moved slowly along Travessera de les Corts, Numància, Berlín, Balmes, Gran Via and Passeig de Gràcia. As the team approached the centre, the atmosphere grew. Flares, music, firecrackers and chants echoed from one street corner to the next.

There were especially powerful moments on Passeig de Gràcia and around Plaça Catalunya, where thousands of people had been waiting for hours. Many players filmed the human sea before them on their phones while the bus could barely make its way through the blue-and-maroon tide.

The celebration also completely disrupted the city's mobility. Several bus routes were diverted, traffic came to a standstill at various points and the metro ran at the limit of capacity for hours, especially on L3 and L5. Even so, the atmosphere was largely festive and without major incidents.

For many supporters, this Liga has special value. Hansi Flick's team has managed to reconnect Barça with a part of the city that had spent years caught between hope and weariness. And that was evident in the streets: it did not seem merely a sporting celebration, but a kind of collective release.

Barça's victory parades have long ceased to be solely a football event. They are one of those few moments when Barcelona seems to move to the same rhythm. For a few hours, the rush, traffic and usual routine disappear, and the city becomes a shared space around the same emotion.
