Castelldefels begins work to expand and improve its municipal Skatepark
In the coming days, Castelldefels will give the green light to the long-awaited works to expand and improve the municipal Skatepark, located on the Can Rabadà promenade.
With an investment of almost €700,000, co-financed by Barcelona Provincial Council, the project will completely transform this space in just two months of work.
The aim is clear: to modernise the facilities, extend the practice area and revitalise the surroundings to turn it into a benchmark for urban sport in the metropolitan area.
The refurbishment includes renovating ramps and curves, creating new access points and obstacles, and a completely renewed design incorporating ramps, quarters, a skate run, a pump-bump, boxes and a new-generation bowl. Basic infrastructure —the stormwater network, lighting and street furniture— will also be improved, and new trees will be planted to provide shade and comfort in the space.

With this work, the City Council aims to boost the municipality’s social and sporting life, offering young people and enthusiasts a more modern, sustainable and vibrant Skatepark, ready to welcome both local riders and new generations of skaters.
