Collboni leads Christmas at Port Olímpic and turns the sea into a festive centrepiece

Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona, has launched the Port Olímpic Christmas programme, consolidating the sea and gastronomy as the celebration's central themes. The inaugural event, held in the new Sala Gregal del Balcón Gastronómico, brought together prominent figures from the sector and municipal representatives, marking the beginning of a new tradition beside the Mediterranean.

Over the past week, Barcelona's coast has hosted special gatherings. First at the renovated Club Natació Barcelona, where Collboni attended a private party, recalling the privilege of living by the sea. Later, Port Olímpic hosted the official presentation of Christmas, with a spectacular projection mapping displayed on the façade of Sala Gregal, the work of illustrator Andrea Segura López.

Collboni, accompanied by Laia Bonet and Marta Labata, highlighted the commitment to the new gastronomic space by renowned chefs such as Lluís Puigvert, Javier and Sergio Torres, Toni Herrero, Anna Valls, Albert Suárez, Ricard Noguera, Juan Carlos Arriaga, Marc Collell and Manuel Lucero. The mayor underlined the quality of the offer and the beauty of the views, saying that 18 December will become an essential annual event.

The event was attended by figures such as Victòria Alsina, Isabel Sabadi, Oriol Altisench, Roger Rosacasalbas, Paco Caro, Nathan Baidez, Manel Giraldo and Albert Ortas, who supported the initiative. The proposal invites Barcelona residents to come to Port Olímpic during the festive season to enjoy the gastronomy, the projection mapping and the Mediterranean's unique atmosphere.

Barcelona thus gains a new landmark space for celebrating Christmas, strengthening its connection with the sea and consolidating Port Olímpic as a festive and gastronomic meeting point.
