Cadalso de los Vidrios, located in the south-west of the Community of Madrid, positioned itself in November 2025 as the most affordable municipality in the region for buying a second-hand home. According to Idealista’s latest report, the average price per square metre in this town is just €999, a figure that puts it at the top of Madrid’s ranking.

With a population of 3,372 inhabitants and located on the border with Toledo and Ávila, Cadalso de los Vidrios stands out for offering the most affordable homes in Madrid. However, the municipality is still a long way from the cheapest in all Spain: Almadén, in Ciudad Real, where the price per square metre is just €335.

The national list of municipalities with the lowest prices is completed by Almodóvar del Campo (€427/m²) and Socuéllamos (€460/m²), both in Ciudad Real. Leiro, in Ourense, occupies fourth place at €478/m², followed by Villacañas, in Toledo, at €479/m².

The ranking continues with Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real, €484/m²), Miajadas (Cáceres, €487/m²), Villanueva del Arzobispo (Jaén) and Arroyo de la Luz (Cáceres, €490/m²). El Carpio, in Córdoba, rounds off the top 10 at €491/m², being the last municipalities where the price per square metre remains below €500.
