The Three Wise Men's Parade returns to Mataró on 5 January 2026 with a procession that promises to surprise residents and visitors. This year, the royal retinue unveils three completely renewed historic floats and adds new characters that expand the magical universe of the event.
Under the stage direction of Júlia Isern and Clara Bellavista, the set design of Marc Abril and the costumes of Marina Pineda, the parade will feature an original soundtrack composed by Llibert Fortuny. The artistic team has prepared a unique visual and sound experience for all audiences.
The route, available on a detailed map, will allow attendees to follow Their Majesties' journey through the city's streets step by step. The ‘Train’, inspired by the historic Mataró-Barcelona line, will transport the royal workers and will be crewed by the ‘xiu-xius’, led by ‘Capità Cluc’ and his assistant ‘Belluguet’, who are tasked with collecting the dreams of the youngest children.
The ‘Boat’ float, under the command of ‘Capitana Auràlia’ and her crew of ‘Brumaris’, will focus on sustainability, collecting waste from the previous year's gifts and carrying materials for the new presents.
Finally, the ‘Plane’ symbolises the global vision of the royal helpers. The ‘Guspira’, together with ‘Espurna’, will watch from the air to ensure that all wishes reach the Three Wise Men, even collecting dreams that may have been lost along the way.
