All free Els Vespres d'Hivern 2026 concerts at the University of Barcelona's Paraninfo

The Universitat de Barcelona is once again opening the doors of its iconic Paranimfo to celebrate the twelfth edition of Els Vespres d'Hivern. On Thursdays in February, audiences will be able to enjoy free concerts with advance booking, featuring some of the most interesting names on the emerging music scene.

The series begins on 5 February with trumpeter and singer Alba Careta alongside producer and singer-songwriter Henrio. Together they present their project Udolç, a reinterpretation of Catalan lullabies, accompanied by poems by Enric Casasses about the world of dreams.

On 12 February, it will be the turn of Amaia Miranda, a Basque guitarist and composer known for her delicacy and depth. Miranda has collaborated with artists such as Amaia, Christina Rosenvinge and Gorka Urbizu, and at Els Vespres she will convey her sensitivity through voice and acoustic guitar.

The third date, 19 February, features Cristina López Gómez. Her work takes flamenco as its starting point and fuses it with urban and electronic music. She has worked with figures such as Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Maria Arnal and is currently preparing her first album, from which she has already released the single Presagio as a preview.

The series closes on 26 February with Meritxell Neddermann, Jorge Drexler's pianist and a member of Seward. Neddermann explores the boundaries between pop, jazz and classical music, always from an avant-garde perspective, as she has demonstrated on her albums In the backyard of the castle and Suelta.

Invitations for each concert can be requested on the official Els Vespres website, with availability staggered across 20 January, 22 January, 27 January and 29 January. The doors of the Paranimfo open half an hour before each performance, allowing attendees to enjoy the grandeur of the university's most ceremonial space.
