Next year will have 14 public holidays, only three of which will fall at the weekend: 15 August, All Saints' Day and Saint Stephen's Day.

These are Barcelona's public holidays for 2026:

1 January (Thursday, New Year's Day),

6 January (Tuesday, Epiphany),

3 April (Friday, Good Friday),

6 April (Monday, Easter Monday),

1 May (Friday, Labour Day),

25 May (Monday, Whit Monday),

24 June (Wednesday, Saint John's Day),

15 August (Saturday, the Assumption),

11 September (Friday, National Day of Catalonia),

24 September (Thursday, Our Lady of Mercy),

12 October (Monday, Hispanic Day),

8 December (Tuesday, the Immaculate Conception),

25 December (Friday, Christmas Day) and 26 December (Saturday, Saint Stephen's Day).

The 2026 working calendar will allow people to enjoy four long weekends: Holy Week, Labour Day, the National Day of Catalonia and Christmas. In addition, there will be the opportunity to make up to four bridge weekends: New Year's Day, Epiphany, La Mercè and the Immaculate Conception.
