The Museo Arqueológico y Paleontológico de la Comunidad de Madrid (MARPA) in Alcalá de Henares has opened the exhibition 'Dientes de sable', a unique opportunity to enter the world of these formidable Pleistocene predators. The exhibition, available until 25 October 2026, makes it possible to explore what they were like, how they lived and which species inhabited the peninsula, all through original pieces and striking recreations.

During my visit, I was surprised by the variety of fossils and the clarity with which the function of their iconic fangs is explained. The route is educational and visual, ideal for both adults and children eager to discover the distant past of Iberian fauna.

In addition, in the same city, the Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes offers the programme 'Navidad en casa Cervantes'. The themed visits, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8 January, recreate the festive atmosphere of the 16th and 17th centuries.
