Croiss&Fest turns Barcelona into the croissant capital from 1 to 3 May with competition, workshops and street food

This weekend, those looking for original plans in Barcelona have an unmissable date: Croiss&Fest; transforms Poble Espanyol into the nerve centre of artisan pastries. From 1 to 3 May, the city surrenders to the croissant, with a competition pitting ten of the Catalan capital’s most renowned pastry shops against one another.

The event promises surprises for the most adventurous palates. Among the offerings, croissants filled with tiramisu, mascarpone with strawberry or unexpected combinations such as chocolate with pork cracklings stand out. Bubó, Takashi Ochiai, Brunells, Oriol Carrió and Canal have already confirmed their participation, each with creations that seek to break the mould.

The competition is not left solely in the hands of an expert jury: the attending public will also be able to vote and decide which is Barcelona’s best artisan croissant. This interaction makes the experience unique and participatory, where every vote counts.

Beyond the competition, Croiss&Fest; offers workshops led by renowned chefs, live music, DJ sets and a play area designed for families. In addition, the market will bring together leading street-food offerings such as Joncake and Delacrem. Tickets, available online from 4.50 euros, give access to a festival designed for all audiences.
