Edurne bids farewell to 2025 with a free concert at Puerta del Sol

Madrid is preparing to close 2025 with a unique celebration: Edurne will give a free concert in Puerta del Sol on New Year’s Eve night, just before the traditional chimes. The event, organised by Kiss FM, will begin at 22:30 and finish in time for attendees to follow the grape-eating ritual without interruption.

The musical programme began on 30 December with DJs Quique Tejada and Toni Peret, known as “Dream Team”, who livened up the atmosphere at Kilometre 0 with their mixes.

For the night of the 31st, Madrid City Council has announced that capacity will be limited to 15,000 people to guarantee safety. Access controls will be installed on Alcalá, Carrera de San Jerónimo, Mayor and Arenal streets, under the supervision of the local and national police.

More than 300 municipal staff, including police officers, healthcare workers, firefighters and cleaning staff, will ensure the smooth running of the celebration. The deputy mayor and delegate for Security and Emergencies, Inma Sanz, has underlined that the aim is for the celebration to proceed completely normally and without significant incidents, despite the large turnout expected.

Puerta del Sol will be cleared at 21:00 for cleaning and police inspection work. Access to the venue will reopen from 22:00, with a double security screening. In addition, Sol station will remain closed from 18:00 until the following day, and other transport services will alter their timetables, so people are advised to check them before setting out.

Edurne will perform live her greatest hits and songs from her latest album “Navidad junto a ti”, released in November 2025. The artist has shared on social media her enthusiasm about singing in such an emblematic place on such a special date for Madrid residents.
