Autocine Madrid returns with free cinema and themed nights
Autocine Madrid once again turns summer nights into an open-air plan with films, live music, gastronomy and activities for all audiences. From 20 July to 28 August, the venue resumes its summer programme with free entry and pedestrian access.

The proposal moves away from the classic drive-in cinema and turns each session into an experience closer to a summer party. The idea is not only to arrive, watch a film and leave, but to spend the afternoon and evening in a space with atmosphere, food, music and activities before the screening begins.
The programme includes popular, highly recognisable titles such as Grease, Interstellar, Pulp Fiction, High School Musical and Spanish Affair. The selection combines classics, family films, Spanish comedy, musicals and major hits designed to attract very different audiences.
The plan includes karaoke, competitions, entertainment, face painting and even express weddings officiated by Elvis, Las Vegas-style. This combination of cinema and spectacle reinforces the relaxed character of an event designed for groups of friends, couples, families and people looking for something different from the usual terrace.
This summer, access will be exclusively on foot. The audience will be able to enjoy films from designated areas with tables, beanbags and table service in the Experiencia Premium option, a format that changes the traditional image of a car in front of the screen.
Capacity is around 500 people per session and, although admission is free, booking in advance is recommended to secure a place. On the hottest days or with especially popular films, arriving without planning ahead can mean being left out or missing the best areas.
The rise of summer cinemas confirms that Madrid shifts part of its cultural life into the night when temperatures rise. Proposals such as Cibeles de Cine, CinePlaza Matadero, La Terraza Magnética and Veranos en el Parque coexist with an Autocine Madrid that opts for a more festive and participatory format.
The scene leaves a clear image of Madrid's summer: the city seeks cool, open-air plans with something more than a screen. Autocine Madrid takes advantage of that need to turn cinema into an excuse to meet up, have dinner, sing and extend the night without leaving the capital.
