Barça sweep aside Newcastle to reach the quarter-finals with a rout
FC Barcelona sealed its place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a resounding 7–2 victory over Newcastle United at Camp Nou, ending the tie 8–3 on aggregate.
The match was an attacking display from the start. Raphinha opened the scoring and scored twice, joined by goals from Marc Bernal, Lamine Yamal, Fermín López and two from Robert Lewandowski. Newcastle, who also found the net twice, never managed to stop the blaugrana side’s rhythm. With the result under control, Barça dominated every phase of play and turned the second half into an exhibition, imposing intensity and attacking efficiency.
