Central Madrid becomes an open, free musical stage
During March, two cultural centres in the heart of Madrid offer free concerts. Residents and visitors can enjoy jazz, choirs and new bands at no cost. The city expands its cultural programme and brings music to all audiences.

The city centre becomes a meeting point for those seeking different plans, with a programme of free concerts inviting people to discover sounds and styles in spaces accessible to everyone. The second edition of the Centro al Compás festival takes centre stage and fills two emblematic cultural centres in the Centro district with music.
The idea is simple: to bring live music closer to those who live, work or stroll through the heart of Madrid. Under the slogan 'Music fills the cultural centres of DistritoCentro', the programme brings together jazz groups, choirs, orchestras and modern projects. Admission is free until capacity is reached, which makes participation easier and encourages last-minute plans.
Centro Cultural Clara del Rey hosts performances such as the Two Strings Project duo (7 March), the Modern Music Combo from the El Capricho Municipal Music School (13 March) and the María Dolores Pradera Choir (25 March), all at 19:00. Meanwhile, Centro Cultural Puerta de Toledo offers a varied programme: the Multidisciplinary Free Improvisation Orchestra (9 March, 18:30), the Choir and Guitar Orchestra of the Federico Chueca Municipal Music School (11 March, 18:30), Creativa Junior Big Band (15 March, 12:00), the Cora duo (22 March, 12:00) and the María Dolores Pradera Jazz Band (23 March, 20:00).
