Shows and cinema bring the circus to new audiences in Madrid this weekend
Madrid adds new cultural activities for the Día Mundial del Circo. Teatro Circo Price is offering a special programme combining shows, tours, and cinema for all audiences.
Between 18 and 19 April, the Price hosts Vetus Venustas, by the Cíclicus company, a proposal that combines acrobatics and live music with an intergenerational view of the circus profession. The story brings together young and veteran artists in a production that connects tradition and renewal.
The programme expands with HOP!, a dramatised tour through the interior of the theatre that makes it possible to discover its spaces from a playful perspective. The experience, guided by clowns and accompanied by live music, is designed for families and curious visitors.
Outside the venue, Cineteca Madrid joins in with the Cine y Circo series, which explores the link between the two worlds with special screenings and presentations.
The city thus strengthens its cultural offer with proposals that invite people to rediscover the circus through different formats.
