Madrid's Hospital Fundación Alcorcón held an open day on fertility and in vitro fertilisation

The Hospital Público Fundación Alcorcón de Madrid opened its doors for the first time for a public event dedicated to fertility and assisted reproduction, aimed at women and couples who wish to start a family. The event gave participants the chance to get direct answers from specialists and learn about the in vitro fertilisation methods available through the public healthcare system.

During the event, doctors and embryologists discussed the influence of age, lifestyle, and illnesses on the ability to conceive, explained the requirements for treatment and how human reproduction laboratories work, and debunked some common myths about infertility. Special attention was given to emotional and ethical aspects: participants heard patient stories and debated the rights and limits of modern science.
