El Álamo becomes a medieval city during the May bank holiday with thousands of visitors
During the May bank holiday, El Álamo completely changes its appearance. This town on the outskirts of Madrid is transformed into a large medieval city, with pedestrian streets, themed decorations, and thousands of people exploring its corners as if they were in another era.
The Gran Feria Medieval turns the town centre into a route almost two kilometres long, full of stalls, shows and historical atmosphere. What began as a small market is now one of Europe’s largest medieval events, with hundreds of craftspeople and massive participation from local residents.
