The Liceu hosts the grand celebration of Damm’s 150th anniversary
Barcelona experienced one of its most symbolic nights with Damm’s 150th anniversary. The Gran Teatre del Liceu brought together more than 1,500 attendees at a gala that went beyond business to become a reflection of the city’s cultural identity.
Among those present were institutional figures such as Salvador Illa and Josep Rull, together with representatives from the economic and social spheres. The event served to highlight the company’s role as a historic engine of development in Catalonia.
The company’s executive chairman, Demetrio Carceller Arce, stressed Damm’s evolution over generations, highlighting its ability to adapt without losing its essence and its link with Barcelona.
After the gala, the celebration continued at La Boquería Market, where guests enjoyed a dinner based on local tradition. Dishes such as fricandó, bacallà a la llauna and meatballs with cuttlefish reinforced the Mediterranean character of the occasion.
