More than 150 varieties of plants arrive in the Salamanca neighbourhood from €0.99

The market is designed both for people who want to start filling their home with greenery and for those who already have a small collection. There will be easy-care species, larger specimens, plants suited to low-light areas and varieties compatible with homes that have pets.

As well as plants, visitors will be able to find pots, planters and other accessories to complete their purchase. The range makes it possible to look for options for small flats, balconies, desks or living rooms with very different light conditions, something especially useful in a city where not every home has a terrace or large windows.

The event will take place at Espacio 23, at number 23 General Oráa Street. It will be open on Friday from 11:00 to 19:30, on Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00.

Admission is free, although it is necessary to reserve an entry time slot in advance. Only card payments will be accepted inside the venue, an important detail for anyone planning to visit on any of the three days.

One of the main draws is once again the price. Some plants will cost less than one euro and much of the selection will fall within affordable price ranges, making the event an option for refreshing several corners of the home without taking on a large expense.

The location also makes it easy to combine the visit with a walk around General Oráa, Diego de León or Príncipe de Vergara.

Those considering taking home large specimens should, however, bear in mind how they will transport them afterwards by Metro, bus or on foot.

For three days, the space will exchange its usual appearance for aisles full of foliage, cacti, tropical plants and pots. A simple plan for starting September by bringing some greenery home without having to leave Madrid in search of a nursery.
