Mercado de las Ranas transforms the weekend in the Barrio de las Letras

The return of Mercado de las Ranas marks a change in the pulse of Barrio de las Letras. After weeks of rain and grey skies, the city regains the rhythm of outdoor strolls and the streets fill with activity again. This Saturday, the first edition of the year invites people to rediscover one of Madrid's most emblematic markets, with an expanded offering of artisanal and natural products.

The event, organised by the Asociación de Comerciantes del Barrio de las Letras, brings together dozens of artisans and small businesses. Among the stalls, it is easy to find everything from handmade costume jewellery to illustrations, clothing, footwear, bags, ceramics, natural cosmetics and decorative items. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the variety surprises even those already familiar with the market.

The route extends along Calle Huertas, from number 2 to the corner with Príncipe, and continues to Costanilla de las Trinitarias. The area's bars and restaurants are also joining the initiative, offering special menus, discounts and promotions that encourage visitors to stay longer and explore the local gastronomic offering.

The event will take place on Saturday 21 February, from 12:00 to 19:00. It becomes an attractive alternative for those looking for different plans without leaving the centre, and an opportunity to support local commerce in a setting with history and character of its own.
