Barcelona Metro will run for 67 hours straight during the Gràcia festivities

The arrangements aim to make journeys easier to one of Barcelona's most crowded summer celebrations, which will take place between 15 and 21 August. During those days, thousands of residents and visitors gather in the decorated streets, concerts, squares and activities organised in Vila de Gràcia.

TMB will particularly reinforce the L3, one of the main access routes to the neighbourhood. During periods of highest demand, up to 10% more trains will run to absorb the increase in passengers and reduce crowds on platforms.

There will also be more customer-service, security and cleaning staff at stations near the main festival spaces. Lesseps, Fontana and Diagonal on the L3 will be among the most used points, along with other nearby stations such as Joanic and the Diagonal and Verdaguer connections.

Buses will be another alternative for reaching Gràcia. Lines such as the D40, D50, H6, H8, H10, V17 and V19, along with different conventional services, bring travellers close to the neighbourhood, although some routes may be temporarily altered because of activities occupying public roads.

This summer, the festivities also coincide with several works on the Metro network. Verdaguer station on the L4 remains closed for improvement work and other lines are also affected, so TMB recommends checking the route before travelling and planning alternatives.

The reinforcement will enable those who extend their night to return by public transport without relying on cars or alternative night-time services. Over the final weekend of the festivities, the Metro will operate for three full days without closing, becoming the main option for entering and leaving a neighbourhood that will once again welcome tens of thousands of visitors.
