The mystery is solved: this is the winning street of the Gràcia contest

And this year, carrer del Progrés has shone brightly. Its proposal, Progrefoc, a visual and symbolic explosion dedicated to the culture of fire, has won over the jury and taken first prize in the decorated streets competition.

Mozart came second, surprising visitors with La Jordina, a feminist reinterpretation of the Sant Jordi legend; while third place went to carrer de Jesús and its Cooltura popular, a tribute to the colles that keep tradition alive.

The announcement of the awards was marked by a painful memory: the fire that destroyed part of the decoration on Verdi del Mig. From the stage, the president of the Fundació Festa Major, Lina López, appealed to shared dignity: «If they burn one of us, they burn all of us». In an unprecedented gesture, the jury awarded special mentions both to Verdi, for its ability to resist, and to the whole community of festers of Gràcia, whose supportive response transformed tragedy into unity.

Beyond the podium, the ranking produced memorable proposals: Plaça Rovira with Hale Rovira, carrer de la Perla with PerlaAnimaladaClimàtica and Tordera with Rusc. Technical details such as lighting, the reuse of materials and innovation were also recognised.
