The Museo EMT Madrid reopens in 2026 with tickets already available
The Museo EMT Madrid will open its doors in 2026 with an exhibition of more than 40 historic vehicles, including the restored MAN NG313F, and will offer new opening hours and ticket prices for visitors.
The Museo de la Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT) has announced advance ticket sales for its 2026 season. The exhibition will be open from 7 March to 28 June and from 5 September to 29 November, showcasing the historical legacy of Madrid transport.
The museum displays more than 40 emblematic vehicles, including the 1947 double-decker Guy Arab, the 1957 Leyland Titan and the 1966 Pegaso 6035-A, the city’s first articulated bus. Visitors will also be able to see uniforms, models, old maps and historical machinery.
This year’s major new feature is the return of the fully restored MAN NG313F articulated bus, which rejoins the collection after a restoration process.
Opening times vary by season. Between 7 March and 17 May, and from 17 October to 29 November, individual visits will be on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with sessions at 11:00, 12:30, 16:30 and 18:00. Between 23 May and 28 June, and from 5 September to 11 October, afternoon visits will be at 17:00 and 18:30.
The museum will open on public holidays such as 2 and 3 April, 1 and 15 May, 12 October, 2 and 9 November. Weekday Tuesdays are reserved for groups, with sessions at 11:00, 12:30, 16:30 and 18:00.
Tickets are now available online. The general price is 5 euros. A reduced price of 3 euros applies to children up to the age of 7, large families, students, people with disabilities, EMT employees and people over 65. Children under 4 and members of the Asociación de Amigos de EMT y el Autobús enter free of charge.
