New space at Chamartín improves ticket purchases and information
Chamartín-Clara Campoamor station incorporates a new Customer Service Space that changes the experience of those passing through one of Madrid’s main transport hubs.

The new point brings together information, ticket sales and personalised assistance in one place. It is located opposite the main entrance and next to the Cercanías ticket barriers, a key location for streamlining the flow of travellers during peak hours.
Among the new features is a multi-screen system displaying queue numbers, timetables and notices in real time. This arrangement reduces waiting times and makes it easier for users to deal with their matters more quickly.
The space also includes waiting areas with screens, more private service areas and furniture designed for intensive use. Acoustic panels help maintain a more comfortable atmosphere even at times of high footfall.
In the internal area, staff have optimised workspaces, which improves service efficiency and the ability to respond to incidents or enquiries.
The intervention forms part of the station's gradual transformation, adapting to a growing volume of travellers and new forms of mobility. Chamartín thus reinforces its role as a key point in Madrid's transport network, with more agile, user-focused services.
UPD: Espacio Renfe is already operating inside the new main concourse of Chamartín-Clara Campoamor, which fully opened to the public on 2 June. The renovation has expanded this area from around 4,000 to 18,000 square metres and reorganised the Cercanías, high-speed rail, waiting, retail and passenger-information spaces. The station also has 12 high-speed tracks, twice as many as before the transformation, although work continues outside, such as landscaping and reorganising the access square.
