Aguapark Toledo reopens on 26 June as an escape from Madrid's heat
When Madrid starts stringing together days above 30 degrees, the question comes up again: where to cool down without organising a trip. One answer returns this summer with a set date. Aguapark Toledo reopens on 26 June in El Casar de Escalona, around 60 or 70 minutes by car from the capital, as a nearby getaway for families, groups of friends and anyone who needs water without waiting for the holidays.
The site is considered one of the largest inflatable water parks in España. It covers more than 17,000 square metres and combines giant slides, swimming pools, inflatable castles, obstacle courses, sun loungers, a children’s area, a restaurant and rest areas. It is not the typical quiet swim: the plan is more of a water playground than a conventional pool.
The 2026 season will begin on 26 June and run through the height of summer. The announced opening hours for the water park are 12:00 to 20:00, although the attractions close at 19:00, so it is advisable to arrive with time to spare if you want to make the most of the day.
General prices start at 18.90 euros from Monday to Friday and 21.90 euros on Saturdays and Sundays. There is also reduced admission, with prices of 14.90 euros on weekdays and 18.90 euros at weekends, as well as free access for children under one metre tall.
Among this year’s new features is the possibility of sleeping in bungalows inside the site, an option designed for those who want to extend their getaway and not limit it to a day trip. The park also promotes summer camps and organised activities with monitors.
For those leaving from Madrid, the main advantage is the distance. Casar de Escalona is close enough to improvise a Saturday plan, but far enough from the centre to feel that the day takes on a different rhythm. In the middle of a heatwave, that difference is noticeable: less asphalt, more water and a schedule designed to spend several hours without watching the clock too closely.
Aguapark Toledo fits well into that Madrid summer in which every family seeks its own refuge: municipal pools, reservoirs, water parks or short getaways to Castilla-La Mancha. It does not replace the beach, nor does it intend to, but it offers something very specific and easy to understand: a day of splashing, slides and shade at a reasonable distance from the city.
