The Museo del Prado has once again exceeded all expectations in 2025, consolidating its position as Madrid's cultural epicentre. With more than 3,479,000 visitors by the end of the year, the Madrid art gallery has broken its own annual record for the third consecutive year.

The emblematic museum, home to masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, Rubens, El Bosco and El Greco, among others, confirms its status as one of the most sought-after destinations for both tourists and residents. This year, 45.35% of visitors entered free of charge, while 67.30% came from abroad and 32.70% were domestic visitors.

May was the month with the highest attendance, recording more than 339,000 visits. On 3 May, the busiest day, 17,484 people walked through its galleries. El Prado thus reaffirms its appeal and remains an essential landmark for art lovers in the capital.
