Real Madrid lose to Bayern and leave the tie open
Real Madrid took a step backwards in the Champions League after losing 1–2 to Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabéu. The German side takes an advantage from the first leg and forces Los Blancos to overturn the tie in Munich.
The match began with a more intense and direct Bayern. That superiority was reflected on the scoreboard before half-time, when Luis Díaz completed a collective move that reflected the visitors’ dominance. In the second half, Harry Kane extended the lead just seconds after the restart, confirming the German team’s best spell.
Real Madrid reacted with pride, true to its European history. Kylian Mbappé pulled one back in the 74th minute after a well-constructed move, restoring tension to the match and keeping the tie alive.
Beyond the result, Bayern gave an impression of control for much of the match. Their high press and ability to create chances made the difference, although the final score leaves everything open for the return leg.
