Real Madrid beat Barcelona in the La Liga match played at the Bernabéu and extended their lead to five points
The match ended 2-1 in favour of the white team.
In the 22nd minute, Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring after a pass from Jude Bellingham. Barcelona equalised with a goal from Fermín López in the 38th, but before half-time Bellingham put Madrid ahead again with a finish at the far post.
In the second half, the referee turned to VAR several times and Wojciech Szczęsny saved a Mbappé penalty. In the closing minutes, Pedri received a second yellow card and was sent off.
With this victory, Real Madrid moved five points clear of Barcelona in the standings.
