Barça's return to Camp Nou still has no set date

Although the club has insisted in recent weeks on reopening the stadium, Barcelona City Council maintains its position: the absolute priority is to guarantee the safety of supporters before granting the occupancy licence.

The first deputy mayor, Laia Bonet, stressed that there would be no rushing. «Not one minute before all the technical and legal guarantees are in place», she said, underlining that the decision is governed not by sporting deadlines but by criteria for public protection.

For its part, the club maintains that Camp Nou is certified as safe despite outstanding finishing work, and recalls that all the required documents have been submitted. Joan Laporta and vice-president Elena Fort have appealed for institutional cooperation, although they warn that Montjuïc will remain the temporary venue while uncertainty persists.

The stadium, the epicentre of the Espai Barça project, may reopen only with municipal authorisation. And although the council says it will act swiftly once the conditions are met, the truth is that the return to the blaugrana temple remains up in the air.
