More interviews and job openings at the new edition of the Saló de l’Ocupació
The Saló de l’Ocupació will return to Barcelona with a larger edition designed to meet the needs of an increasingly dynamic job market. The event will double its space in Palau 8 of Montjuïc and bring together more companies, training areas, and guidance services for those looking for work or considering a career change.
Under the slogan “T’obrim portes”, the event is aimed both at young people trying to access their first job and at unemployed people, professionals who want to update their skills and workers considering a new stage. The programme will be designed to help define goals, improve skills and get closer to companies with specific vacancies.
One of the main new features will be “Talent en directe”, a space for rapid interviews tailored to each participant’s profile. There will also be sector-based job marketplaces, where attendees can make contact with companies seeking to fill positions in high-demand fields.
The larger space will make it possible to include more organisations and resources, as well as specific areas for young people. There, guidance will be offered on studies, vocational training, career pathways and options for taking the first steps into the labour market.
The programme will include practical workshops to prepare for interviews, review CVs and improve professional presentation. It will also address the use of artificial intelligence in job seeking, from selecting offers to preparing applications.
Individualised advice will carry significant weight throughout the day. Visitors will be able to resolve questions, identify skills and learn about emerging sectors, with the aim of leaving the venue with a clearer plan rather than merely a collection of brochures.
More than 100 organisations from Barcelona’s employment ecosystem will take part in the fair, alongside public authorities and social partners. In parallel, a session aimed at sector professionals will be held to discuss quality employment and coordination between companies, institutions and guidance services.
Admission will be free, although advance registration and the selection of a time slot will be required. The venue will open from 9:30 to 18:30, an arrangement intended to spread attendance and help each person make better use of the interview, workshop and advice spaces.
The scene turns Montjuïc for a few hours into a meeting point between companies and candidates. For many attendees, the value will lie in leaving with an interview, a new course of training in mind or a specific door that was not open before.
