UE Sant Andreu will play at home after agreement with the City Council to adapt Narcís Sala
UE Sant Andreu will continue playing next season at Estadio Narcís Sala, a decision that directly affects neighbourhood life and the supporters. Barcelona City Council has confirmed the installation of natural grass, an indispensable requirement for competing in Primera Federación.
The agreement comes after weeks of negotiations between the club and the city council. The priority was to ensure that the team could remain at its usual stadium without breaching regulations. To this end, the works will be processed on an urgent basis, with the aim of having the new grass ready for the start of the season.
In addition to the playing surface, Estadio Narcís Sala will improve its lighting to reach the 600 lux required by the Real Federación Española de Fútbol. This upgrade will enable the ground to meet all the technical and safety standards for the division.
While the works progress, the club is reorganising its structure. The youth teams will temporarily move to other pitches in the district, such as facilities in Bon Pastor and Baró de Viver, to ensure that training and competitions can continue without interfering with the works.
The change represents a significant adjustment to the neighbourhood's daily life, but it also strengthens the link between the team and its surroundings. Keeping the matches in Sant Andreu avoids travel and maintains sporting activity in the area.
