Tennis at the Bernabéu: the new Mutua Madrid Open experience

The court will be installed on the Bernabéu pitch and will have the same technical conditions as the competition courts. The aim is to make it easier for tennis players to prepare in a central setting, reducing travel in a particularly intense week.

Use of this new space will be limited: only players and their technical teams will be able to access it. Meanwhile, the tournament’s main activity — matches and open training sessions — will continue to take place at Caja Mágica, the usual venue for the Mutua Madrid Open.

This initiative seeks to improve athletes’ experience in a city where mobility can make a difference to performance. Training in the very centre, close to hotels and key services, makes it possible to optimise time in a very tight schedule.
