The weather takes a turn in Madrid: from 26 degrees to rain and cold in a few days
Madrid will experience a week of clear contrasts in the weather, with an almost summery start and an end marked by rain and falling temperatures. Between 6 and 12 April, the weather will change noticeably and will affect plans in the city.
Monday and Tuesday start off with unusually high temperatures for the time of year, reaching up to 25–26 degrees and partly cloudy skies. From Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday, the weather turns unsettled. Storms and rain are expected, with a clear drop in temperatures that could bring highs down to around 14 degrees. Thursday and Friday see some improvement, with intervals of cloud and occasional showers, but again with high temperatures close to 24–26 degrees.
The outlook changes again at the weekend. Saturday and especially Sunday will be marked by rain, overcast skies, and a sharp drop in temperatures, with highs possibly falling to 12–13 degrees.
This back-and-forth is typical for April, a transitional month with generally mild temperatures, but also episodes of rain and rapid changes over just a few days.
