Cine Sénior returns to Madrid: 2 euros on Tuesdays for over-65s in 50 cinemas until June 2026

Madrid’s Cine Sénior programme remains active, allowing people over 65 to see films on Tuesdays for just €2, with almost 50 participating cinemas across the capital. The initiative will remain in force until June and offers viewers a wide variety of films, as well as the opportunity to return to the cinema after the pandemic.

Launched in 2023, the programme seeks to support both older viewers and cinemas, benefiting both sides: older people enjoy discounts and cinemas increase their attendance. This year, the programme’s budget has been increased by €3 million to guarantee its continuity until the end of the period and cover everyone interested.

Updated · 8 March 2026 Conditions: DNI/passport ≥65 years old, legal residence in Spain, 1 ticket/person/screening, cannot be combined with other promotions, box office or online (select “Cine Sénior”). Special 4D/IMAX cinemas excluded. Budget of €11.5M covers more than 2,900 screens in Spain.

Participating Madrid cinemas: Yelmo Cines (Plaza de España, Ideal, etc.), Kinepolis (Ciudad de la Imagen), Renoir (Príncipe Pío, Retiro), Ocine, etc. (full list: Ministry of Culture/madrid.es). Valid throughout 2026 until 23 June.
