A theatre named after Audrey Hepburn will open in Madrid
Madrid is preparing for the opening of a new theatre, Espacio Audrey, dedicated to the great Audrey Hepburn.
The Spanish capital will have a new cultural centre, Espacio Audrey, named after the legendary Audrey Hepburn. Its official opening is scheduled for 27 November, when a musical dedicated to the actress will have its world premiere.
The theatre is located next to Ronda de la Comunicación metro station, in the Fuencarral-El Pardo neighbourhood. It is a completely new space, with an area of 4,500 m², designed from scratch specifically for large-scale productions.
Inside, there are three stages, 1,450 seats (including 146 rotating seats), a large food and drink area, and an entire “artists' city” with dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms and even physiotherapy.
