Estiu Jove 2025: the key to travelling around Europe by train and bus for next to nothing

The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that it will repeat the successful Estiu Jove programme, which offers discounts of up to 90% on train and coach tickets for people aged 18 to 30. An invitation to cross borders, discover landscapes and get to know new cities… without leaving your bank account trembling.

Although the official details have not yet been published, conditions are expected to be very similar to those in the previous edition: tickets with a 90% discount on medium-distance trains and state coaches, and 50% on AVE, Avant and Interrail passes, with a limit of 30 euros per journey on high-speed trains.

The timetable also points to summer: between July and September, trains and coaches will be filled with backpacks and a desire to explore. To benefit from the plan, people will need to register on the Ministry’s official website, Verano Joven, and obtain a personal code.

With this initiative, travel ceases to be a luxury and becomes a right within reach of an entire generation that wants to move, learn and live. This summer, the destination is not the most important thing: the journey is.
