La Salut celebrates ten days of festivities with concerts, correfoc and communal meals
The Salut neighbourhood, in Gràcia, already has dates for its 2026 major festival. From 4 to 13 September, the neighbourhood's streets and facilities will host ten days of music, popular culture, family activities, neighbourhood meals and competitions open to all audiences.
The celebration will begin on Friday the 4th with a cercavila parade that will travel along Rambla Mercedes and several surrounding streets. At 18:30, Teresa Roig's opening address will take place, followed by a family music show, a static children's correfoc fire-run and an open-air film screening accompanied by a bring-your-own dinner.
Saturday the 5th will be one of the busiest days. Rambla Mercedes will host a community organisations' vermouth gathering, children's activities, a communal paella and musical bingo before giving way to an afternoon of jam sessions, karaoke and concerts. At night, Sistema de Entretenimiento, Ruïnosa i les Strippers de Rahola and LeffaKing will perform, with DJ sessions continuing well into the early hours.
Popular culture will take over on Sunday the 6th. Sant Josep de la Muntanya will host a castellers performance at 12:30, while the Casal de Barri Cardener will organise a communal lunch and an afternoon of habaneras. Two days later, on Tuesday the 8th, Maignon Street will host a pétanque competition.
On Wednesday the 9th, the celebration will move to Argentona Street. There will be a domino tournament, vermouth, a bring-your-own meal, musical bingo and karaoke during the day, before the day closes with a DJ Kubito session from 23:00.
The final stretch will have La Miranda as one of its main settings. On 12 and 13 September, this space will host communal meals, musical performances and different activities throughout the day, bringing a programme spread across different corners of la Salut to a close.
The Festa Major will arrive just a few weeks after the major festivities of Vila de Gràcia, but with a much more neighbourhood-oriented character. Rambla Mercedes, Sant Josep de la Muntanya, Cardener, Argentona and La Miranda will share out the activity and make it possible to discover a celebration where large stages give way to shared tables, games, music and meetings between neighbours.
September will thus begin in la Salut with an agenda designed to experience the neighbourhood from the street. For ten days, a paella, a game of dominoes, a human tower or a night-time concert will serve as an excuse to bring together different generations and recover that festa major rhythm which, for a few days, turns everyday spaces into meeting places.
