FNAC Callao reopens in Madrid on 30 October with a new look and more cultural space
The iconic shop in Plaza de Callao, closed since January, is reopening after an ambitious refurbishment that expands its spaces and modernises its interior.
On 30 October 2025, FNAC Callao will once again welcome Madrid residents and visitors with a major reopening celebration. The date was announced during the FNAC Live 2025 festival, where artists including Karavana, Pol 3.14, Vicente Calderón and ERRE performed.
For months, the historic building constructed in the 1940s has been under renovation to shape a project that expands its retail space: it has gone from 40% to 70%, freeing spaces previously reserved for warehouses and technical areas. The result is a more open and versatile shop, where comics, literature, music, board games and electronics will take centre stage.
With this reopening, FNAC not only recovers one of its flagships in Spain, but also returns to Callao a leisure and cultural landmark that had been part of Madrid’s urban landscape for more than three decades.
