Fátima Matute becomes the first Spanish woman to receive the world's highest recognition in radiology

The councillor has been named an honorary member of the Radiological Society of North America, a distinction she received in Chicago and which, she stressed, also represents the effort of Madrid’s entire health system.

Until 4 December, Matute is taking part in the RSNA annual meeting, where she presents the region’s healthcare model to specialists from more than 150 countries. In more than a century of the society’s history, this title had never been awarded to a Spanish woman.
